Portable

I do a bit of portable operations when I have the time and possibility. I love mountain hiking, and often bring my QRP gear along. The picture below is from the Portable in the Tafjord Mountains trip in 2005.

I used to lug around an old Iridium phone when out in the wilderness, but now I have Delorme Inreach SE to sort that out. The InReach SE is a two way Iridium messaging and tracking device. This way I can keep friends and family posted on my status, and also make skeds with all and anyone interested.
