Direct Conversion receiver

A simple direct conversion receiver. I have sucessfully made it for 3.5MHz, 7MHz, 10MHz and 14Mhz. I cannot give you any schematic though, since i built it completely by head, not documenting as I worked. Not very smart.

It uses a NE612 mixer, with an VFO on the receiving frequency. The receiver is quite sensitive, and due to the balanced output to a LM386 audio amp, it does not suffer very much from intermod.

My board etching was a bit off, so I had to solder a bit on the tracks to make them solid. Besides, it looks good doesn't it ?
